Skanska embraces sustainability with ECO360 cardboard desk

TCi furniture WORKS recently supplied a dozen ECO360 desks as additional furniture for Skanska’s New Papworth Hospital project in Cambridge.

The recyclable workstations were requested as part of an ongoing approach to sustainable development. The ECO360 desks were provided with ergonomic task chairs and recyclable steel pedestal units.

“The feedback has been fantastic from people who are using them in the office,” said Sarah Duffin, Office Manager. “They think the desks are excellent. People are already working at them and more are keen to use the space.”

Skanska operates a comprehensive environmental management policy, encompassing biodiversity, carbon, materials, energy and water. This is achieved through an innovative ‘colour palette’ scheme encouraging sites to work towards a ‘deep green’ target. Read more about ISO 14001:2015 and environmental policy at Skanska HERE!

TCi furniture WORKS specialises in construction site furniture and fulfilled the order via our CSCS qualified installation team and FORS Bronze accredited fleet, offsetting the carbon footprint of ECO360 desk delivery using a tree planting scheme.
